Big News!!
Hello Friends,
Welcome back to the latest installment in the Dumb Fans blog. A handful of you have read just about every one of my posts and to you I say, THANK YOU! I have been considering this for a very long time and I've decided that its finally time that I take the leap of faith and follow my dream--the Dumb Fans Podcast is officially going to be launching! I already know what you're thinking, 'not another podcast' or 'everyone's got a podcast, now this guy does too' but my vision for the podcast is not to be analytical in nature or try to prove that I'm smarter than everyone else or something. I'm not really about that, I think that I have a personality and takes that people can follow along with, that is my motivation. Be a voice in all the noise of sports media trying to prove how smart they are and scream and yell at each other, that people can laugh along and connect with. That's it.
The blog is still going to remain here and I'll post links to my socials like I have been doing and I'll be doing a handful of written posts but I'll be moving to a brand new website that is a work in progress and I plan to launch it by January (so if you want to join the team and do some writing, let me know and lets talk!)
Starting Tuesday, December 3rd, the very first episode of the Dumb Fans Podcast is going to be published and I can't wait. The schedule is going to be releasing episodes every Tuesday and Thursday. It's going to just be me for a while but eventually I want to add more people in on the show, whether on a one time basis for an interview or some sports talk and maybe even a cohost.
About the same time as the blog is going to be published, I'll start doing some video content as well. I'll record my podcast videos, make content, and potentially do some streaming as well.
This is a dream and goal that I have been wanting to chase since I graduated college but I've always been too afraid or felt like no one would want to listen to me. Which might definitely still be the case but I have to give it a try.
I'll continue to focus on Utah sports but try to get a little bit of everything. Episodes will be short until we can get a following and maybe more people that want to come on in guest spots. If you have suggestions or comments, I would love to hear them. I hope that you will come along for the ride.
